Hey Joe,
I must say I thought I knew a lot about beer. The history involving Country Club has long been among my favorite bar talk topics. But I really had no idea the scope of St. Joe’s role in
America’s favorite drink…at least my favorite drink. Thanks for the insight!
Later dude.
Well, Dude,
We too have to admit that we underestimated our fine town’s grand role in the brewing industry. I guess it goes to show that history never gets too old to be good.
Cheers,Joe
Dear Joe,
I am sure you have already heard, but for your readers who have not: the mall is staying! I’m not the shopper in the family, but my wife is thrilled. I have to admit though for what little shopping I do, close to 90% of it is done at the mall that I too grew up in.
Thanks for your piece on the heart of the mall; it was a nice change from the politically charged arguments around town.
Mark H.
Mark,
The best thing about using a different approach (especially ones close at heart) is that it makes people rethink the things they thought they knew.
Keep on shopping,Joe
Dear Joe,
I think you think you are some kind of jokester with your clever names, skewed view points and misplaced humor. There is little Regular about you and I am appalled that you call yourselves the voice of this town. I have a voice too; do I need my own bi-weekly of my own for it to be heard?!
Infuriated and Anonymous
I & A,
Easy. We called ourselves The Regular Joe simply because that’s what we are and our goal is to open the floor to all of the Joes out there. There is no glory in stirring controversy simply to piss people off, but there is also little valor in always staying in the middle of the road. Everyone, with any view point, is more than welcome to write for us and if you prefer to write under a pen-name that’s okay. It really didn’t bother me to read Stephen King books that were under the name Richard Bachman or even the one that was written as John Swithen. No matter the name, I found myself entertained.
So please stop being infuriated but you don’t have to stop being anonymous. And send us something, all columns are open for submission either in print or on-line.
Sincerely,R. Joseph (that’s a pen-name, wink wink)
